4.1 What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) by a website when you visit it. Cookies allow the website to recognize your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and collect usage information. Cookies are widely used by website operators to improve the functionality and performance of their sites and to provide information to the owners of those sites. In addition to cookies, we may use similar tracking technologies such as web beacons (also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs), which are small transparent images embedded in web pages or emails that enable us to track interactions.
4.2 Types of Cookies We Use
Match Event uses the following categories of cookies on its website:
4.2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Match Event website to function correctly and cannot be disabled in our systems. They do not collect personal information for marketing purposes. Examples include:
● Session management cookies that keep you logged in during your visit;
● Security tokens used to prevent cross-site request forgery and other security threats;
● Load-balancing cookies that ensure server stability and consistent user experience.
Because these cookies are strictly necessary, they are placed on your device without requiring your prior consent.
4.2.2 Performance & Analytics Cookies
These cookies collect information about how visitors use our website, including which pages are visited most often, error messages encountered, and how users navigate through the site. This data is used in aggregate to improve website performance and user experience. Where possible, data collected by performance cookies is anonymized or pseudonymized. We may use services such as Google Analytics or comparable platforms for this purpose. These cookies require your consent prior to placement.
4.2.3 Functional Cookies
Functional cookies enable the website to remember choices you make in order to provide enhanced and more personalized features. Examples include:
● Language and region preferences;
● Pre-filled form fields based on a prior visit.
These cookies require your consent prior to placement.
4.2.4 Marketing & Targeting Cookies
Marketing cookies are used to deliver advertisements and promotional content that are relevant to your interests. They may also be used for remarketing purposes — to display Match Event advertisements on third-party websites following your visit to our site. These cookies track your browsing activity and are placed only with your explicit prior consent. You may withdraw consent at any time through our Cookie Preference Center or browser settings.
4.3 Third-Party Cookies
Certain cookies on our website are placed by third parties, including but not limited to Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads), Meta/Facebook (Facebook Pixel), and LinkedIn (LinkedIn Insight Tag). These third-party services place cookies in connection with embedded content, advertising integrations, or social media features present on our website. Match Event does not control third-party cookies. We encourage you to review the privacy and cookie policies of these third parties directly.
4.4 Cookie Duration

4.5 Managing Your Cookie Preferences

● Cookie Preference Center: Where a Cookie Preference Center is provided on the Match Event website, you may use it to selectively enable or disable non-essential cookie categories at any time.
● Do Not Track (DNT): Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Match Event acknowledges DNT signals and will, where technically feasible, limit automated data collection accordingly. However, no universal DNT standard has been adopted, and we cannot guarantee uniform compliance across all tracking technologies.
● Third-Party Opt-Out Tools: For analytics and advertising opt-outs, you may use tools provided by Google (google.com/settings/ads), Meta, and other providers.
4.6 Cookie Consent
Upon your first visit to the Match Event website, a cookie consent banner will be displayed informing you of our use of cookies and providing you with the option to accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookie categories. Strictly Necessary Cookies are placed without consent, as they are required for basic site operation. All other cookie categories require your affirmative opt-in consent before being activated. You may revisit and update your preferences at any time through the Cookie Preference Center accessible on our website. - Contact Form Notice

You may request deletion of your contact form submission data at any time by contacting us at privacy@matchevent.com or by submitting a written request to our address listed in Section 16. We will process such requests in accordance with the timelines set forth in Section 11.
5.6 Anti-Spam Measures and CAPTCHA
To protect our website and services from fraudulent, automated, or malicious submissions, Match Event may employ CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) or equivalent verification mechanisms on contact and registration forms. Such tools may involve the processing of behavioral signals or image recognition data. Where third-party CAPTCHA services (such as Google reCAPTCHA) are used, their respective privacy policies also apply to that interaction. - How We Use Your Information

When Match Event is engaged by a corporate client to organize or manage an event, we may share event-related data — including attendee registration information, participation records, and event logistics data — with that corporate client as the commissioning party. Such sharing is governed by the contract between Match Event and the corporate client, and the corporate client assumes responsibility for appropriate handling of any personal information shared.

9.1 General Website Visitors and Contact Form Inquiries
Personal information collected from general website visitors and individuals who submit contact or inquiry forms is retained for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of last interaction. 9.3 Corporate Client Data
Personal and business information associated with corporate clients is retained for the duration of the active client relationship plus seven (7) years following the conclusion of the engagement. This extended retention period is necessary to satisfy obligations under applicable tax law (including IRS record-keeping requirements), Florida Statute requirements, legal and audit compliance obligations, and potential dispute resolution needs. Billing records and financial transaction data are retained in accordance with applicable federal and state tax law, which may require retention of up to seven (7) years or longer in some circumstances.

9.7 Secure Disposal
When personal information has reached the end of its applicable retention period and is no longer subject to a legal hold, Match Event will dispose of such information using secure deletion methods appropriate to the medium on which it is stored. For electronic records, this includes cryptographic erasure, secure overwriting, or deletion from systems in a manner that renders the data unrecoverable. For physical records containing personal information, secure shredding or equivalent destruction methods will be employed.
